Happy New Year! Did you know that tomorrow is Happy Mew Year’s Day for cats? If you are starting the year out with a kitty, it’s probably safe to say that your cute pet will put some smiles on your face in the coming year. Fluffy may also have a few things on her agenda for 2019! Read on as a Pickerington, OH vet lists some common resolutions for our feline pals.
Cats may enjoy fun outdoor activities, like leaving paw art on your car or ignoring you when you call her. However, Fluffy is much safer staying inside. Don’t worry, though: your furball can still indulge her taste for adventure by exploring closets, empty boxes, and cabinets you only open once in a while.
Purrfect The Pounce
Cats are actually skilled predators in the wild. Your cute house pet may want to work on her hunting skills. Those butt-wiggle/run/jump/pounce combinations are hard to master!
Help The Humans
Fluffy may spend most of her time sleeping, but she will carve time out of her busy napping schedule to help you out. Your thoughtful pet may offer her ‘assistance’ by helping you change your sheets or knocking things off your coffee table. She may also act as a warming unit by curling up in your laundry or stealing your seat.
Get Plenty of Sleep
If there’s one thing we can learn from kitties, it’s the importance of getting enough sleep. Some of our feline buddies sleep up to 20 hours a day, though most of them settle for a ‘mere’ 14 or so. Help Fluffy make this goal by offering her lots of comfy beds.
Take Over The Internet
Since the rise of the internet, we’ve noticed that cats take up quite a bit of space on the World Wide Web. (They also take up a lot of space in our beds, but that’s another topic.) Is Fluffy trying to achieve world domination? We may find out in 2019!
Your pet won’t have trouble making this goal! Kitties are almost unbearably cute, with their adorable quirks, charming vocalizations, and loving purrs. Spend lots of quality time with Fluffy in 2019!
